Is this the end of Leemeta?

Not yet. wink

If someone had told us a few years ago that artificial intelligence would translate a document, write an email, and prepare a presentation in a matter of seconds, we probably would have looked at them with quite a bit of disbelief.

Today, however, this is already part of everyday life. ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepL, Google Translate … hardly a day goes by without a new tool appearing that promises faster work. It is therefore not surprising that a question is being asked more and more frequently: do we even still need translators?

Admittedly, we have asked ourselves the same thing.

What are we hearing from clients today?

Years ago, companies mainly used to ask us: "When can we expect the translation?"

Today, we hear this much more often:

"We have already translated this with ChatGPT. Could you just take a quick look at it?"

This does not surprise us at all. If you need a quick translation of an email or a draft document, artificial intelligence is an excellent assistant. The real question is no longer whether it makes sense to use AI at all, but rather what happens after the translation has already been generated.

Where are companies losing the most time and money?

The biggest problem in translation is often not choosing the right vocabulary, but consistency.

If the same product is translated in three different ways on the website, in the catalog, and in the user manual, each individual sentence might be correct, but the company's overall communication still suffers quite a bit. The same applies to technical documentation, contracts, or marketing texts, where consistent terminology is of key importance.

That is precisely why we started thinking about how artificial intelligence can help solve this challenge as well.

Who is LeeBuddy?

We didn't want to create just another online translator. There are plenty of those today.

We wanted to develop a tool based on more than twenty years of translation experience that understands the problems companies face with translations. LeeBuddy therefore doesn't just translate individual sentences; it considers the entire document, uses glossaries, translation memory, and past translations, and ensures consistent terminology across all projects.

Instead of copying text between different tools, you simply upload the document, and LeeBuddy takes care of the translation, proofreading, and quality control.

Will translators be out of work overnight?

Will artificial intelligence replace translators? We hear this question almost every day.

In certain areas, it will certainly take over some of the tasks. However, the translation industry has already weathered similar changes with translation memories and other tools. Every new technology has changed the way we work, but not the need for quality communication.

That is precisely why we developed a tool called LeeBuddy – not as a replacement for translators, but as an assistant that enables companies to translate documents faster, more consistently, and more easily.

Are you curious to see how LeeBuddy works?

The easiest way to form an opinion about artificial intelligence is not by reading articles about it, but by testing it in practice. wink

Create a free account in LeeBuddy, upload your document, and see how quickly and consistently it can translate it.

Compare the result with the tools you use today and let us know what you think.

You will likely find that the future of translation is not a choice between translators and artificial intelligence, but what a human can do TOGETHER with artificial intelligence.
